I deleted my file, now what? – Cloud Computing to the Rescue

In supporting customers within the IVDesk environment we offer a number of tools that make everyone’s life easier. Some relate to utilities, ease of use, support, and one that consistently helps “save the day” is that we use Microsoft’s Shadow Copy.
Just the other day an accountant from one of our customers called saying they accendently over wrote an Excel file that they’ve been working on for the last few hours. Was there any way they could get back the last version and save the rework?
The answer was “Yes, of course”. Within IVDesk we use Microsoft’s solution providing copies of fles as they change throughout the day. An IVDesk user can quickly recover previous versions with little or no assistance from the helpdesk. Another problem solved.
Cloud Computing has provided great solutions for smaller companies. By utilizing an outside service like IVDesk, small to mid-sized companies get access to a Fortune 500 IT backend for a low monthly fee. They get all the great services and systems without the dramatic costs.
